HOCC opens this season with our 20th annual program, “Reflection and Gratitude” coupled with  the themes of self-care and mindfulness.

We believe reflection can increase self-awareness,  develop a better understanding of others and yourself, which in turn, begins the process of feeling and expressing  gratitude. We also believe gratitude can support positive emotions, increase affirming   experiences, improve your health, deal with adversity, and build strong relationships. Over the years, we saw how practicing reflection and gratitude became a  powerful tool for self-care. We see self-care as anything you do to take care of yourself so you can stay physically, mentally, and emotionally well. Self-care also promotes positive health outcomes, fosters resiliency,  supports longevity and helps manage stress. We promote the practice of mindfulness, as a  technique to enhance the reflection and gratitude process. Mindfulness helps you become more aware of one’s thoughts, feelings, and surroundings in the present moment without judgment.

Join us on Monday, November 11th for more information about

Reflection and Gratitude.
