We Want You to Know… Even though some may say it’s been a very “scary” year with all of the political challenges and rhetoric, here at HOCC we believe it’s the most important time to have your voice heard!
Over the next few days is the most essential time to have your voice heard loud and clear! Making your voice heard across your community, state and country and help shape America’s Future. It’s a four letter word and a very important word… ”VOTE”!
Participating in elections is one of the key freedoms of American life. Many people in countries around the world do not have the same freedom, nor did many Americans in centuries past. No matter what you believe or whom you support, it is important to exercise your rights. Building a relationship with the political process as early as possible is key to making voting a lifelong habit. If you’re historically a repeat voter, you’re much less likely to skip a trip to the polls in the future. This sort of habit forming participation is key to driving policy and electing leaders who represent the needs of the voters.
After all, as Susan B. Anthony reminds us, we must never forget the importance of making our voice heard: “Someone struggled for your right to vote. Use it.”
Also, remember, voting is the expression of our commitment to ourselves, one another, this country, and this world. Make your voice heard when you vote. We have just 14 days to election day on November 5th.
